Heath Ledger is dead!

I am so sad he is one of my fav. actors

Heath Ledger:

– Born Heathcliff Andrew Ledger, April 4, 1979 in Perth, Australia – Son of a French teacher and race car driver/mining engineer – Left high school at 16 to pursue a career in acting – Made his first big screen splash in the US in 1999 as Patrick Verona in “10 Things I Hate About You” – Dated Naomi Watts from 2002 - 2004 – Won a ShoWest Award for the Male Star of Tomorrow based on his performance in “The Patriot” – Named one of Australian GQ’s Men of the Year for acting, 2003 – In 2005, he received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Actor in a Drama” for “Brokeback Mountain” – Heath became engaged to Michelle Williams, whom he met on the set of “Brokeback Mountain” – Daughter Matilda Rose born October 28, 2005 – Academy Award Best Actor nominee for his role in “Brokeback Mountain”, 2006 – Williams and Ledger split in August, 2007 – Heath found dead in NYC at the age of 28, January 22, 2008

Heath Ledger’s father, Kim Ledger, flanked by his family, released a statement on Australian television:

We, Heath’s family, confirm, the very tragic, untimely and accidental passing of our dearly loved son, brother and doting father of Matilda. He was found peacefully asleep in his New York apartment by his housekeeper at 3:30 p.m. U.S. time.

We would like to thank our friends and everyone around the world for their well wishes and kind thoughts at this time. Heath has touched so many people on so many different levels during his short life but few had the pleasure of truly knowing him.

He was a down to earth, generous, kind-hearted, life-loving and selfless individual who was extremely inspirational to many. Please now respect our families need to grieve and come to terms with our loss privately.

So sad! I didn’t even know the man but I’m going to miss him! I seriously wanted to cry when I found out, it’s like I lost a friend. Poor Michelle Williams I read she’s totally heart broken, I hope now he’s in a better place.

He will be missed by many especially his family and baby girl.

I now im so sad about it!

2/6/08 - NYC Medical Examiner ruled the death an ‘accidental overdose’ of prescription drugs (6 different types).
