You can get a night light that plug on the outlet. Or get a dimmer light and each night get it dimmer than the night before until eventually after a week you can turn it off. What other fears do you have?

it's bloody scary when its all dark. damn. Ok well basically when you're sleeping just stare into the dark.. do it for longer each night.. might work :)
you can try to put music on im the dark like your favorite songs and then you might get used to it
