I have a friends XP Pro on my second computer, I have bought the cd
Will it wipe out everything I have on my pc, if I run my new licensed Xp CD?? I dont want to lose everything! Jewell
You should be able to run the MS software verification and input the number that came with the new CD. This will authenticate your XP to Microsoft and you won’t lose anything.
I have two computers,, I just have a recovery cd for the newer one, my older one is the one I am asking about that has the friends copy of xp pro on, and I have bought a new xp cd for it so I dont keep getting the message that I am using an illegal copy! But I dont want to lose everything I have on it if I run the new cd
I’m not real sure what you are actually asking?? Is it that you have 2 computers, one with your original OS and another one with your friends OS installed in that one.?? I can answer If I knew exactly what you wanted to know, sorry, try again, Okay?
