4 weeks pregnant and bleeding

I am 4 weeks pregnant and bleeding. I went to the doctor and he was very blunt and said yep your having a miscarriage. I was devistated. I later that night went ti the er and got a second opinion and he said my blood level for being pregnenant is 14 and that I would have to wait to get another blood test done in 2 to 3 days. I have had no cramping and its the second day and I almost have stopped bleeding. am I having a miscarriage?

Answer #1

I would definatelly get another opinion. My sister was told she had misscaried and now I have a cute as nephew. Aparently she was carrying twins and one miscaried. She lost a lot and was in extreme pain. When I had a miscariage at 12 weeks it was more painfull than being in labour with both of my kids. So go and get another opinion and get an ultrasound too.

I am in the same boat, this is my first pregnancy I just found out that my HCG levels are 80 so im about 2-3 weeks along and started bleeding last night and cramping today. I went to the er and they said its to early to tell whats going on. I have to make an apt with a clinic in 3-5 days to see if my HCG levels are going up or if I’m miscarring. I wish you guys the best of luck and I hope everything will work out for everyone.

okay it won’t let me ask my own question; but I am 3 weeks pregnant(not far along) and today I’m bleeding constantly as if it’s my period; at first it was dark clotted and not it’s light to redish and is coming constantly through out the day; I know it’s impossible to have your period when your pregnant; but then again I’m only 3 weeks.. so do you know any other possibilities? I do have a docters appointment on Monday; but me and my boyfriend will be devastated if this pregnancy is a false alarm..

Answer #6

I don’t think anyone on here will be able to tell you the answer to your question. but I can say that I’m really proud of you for going in to your doctor for help when you knew something was wrong. you did exactly what you were supposed to do. keep going to you doctor till you get this thing figured out.

there is a chance you could be miscarrying. I lost mine at five weeks. I only hope you don’t have to go through what I did, but if you do, know it wasn’t your fault, and look towards the future. that’s what helped get me through it.
