In addition to above, If you have access to a gym, leg curls both lift and pulling. Ask one of the gym attendants to show you how to use the machines.

jump rope run up and down stairs (I swear that helps)

running swimming leg press at the gym anything that get’s your legs moving…like soccer

Walking is much safer then running because there is little jarring of the body. You will actually burn more fat and gain more muscle that way because you can go longer too.
