How to gauge my own ear~

Heyy~ How do you gauge your own ears?? I want a small gauge on my right ear, in the middle of the lobe~ Any advice from someone who actually knows would be great {{no crap like ‘don’t do it on your own’ please}} :]

Answer #1

I think it’s just a 16g, but I want to stretch it a bit~

Answer #2

ok. then if it’s a 16. usually you can go like between 2-4 sizes bigger. like maybe try a size 14g. but here is a site I just found kinda explains a lil more bout it…

well whut size is the hole now? or is it just a regular earing that you have in? I gauged mine from regular earing size to a size 16g useing just 1 of my navel barbells. I have 5 in my 2 ears. it never hurt. and was easy to slide threw. =]

Answer #4

yeah id just use a barbell of whutever size you want like maybe a 14g.

Answer #5

I used a taper and I went up a couple of sizes from a regular hole. the guy suggested I start out with a smaller taper but I was like um no..next size up. I have never gaged my ears and I had no idea what I was doing and I was pissed off so I put the tapers in without anything and I kept going even though it was painful. I had the mentality that it was supposed to be painful, and it was in extreme pain for a couple of days until I took the tapers out finally and rubbed my ears with rubbing alcohol. My ears are all crusty and my lobes blew out. It sucks. This has been a really bad experience because I didn’t research it first. (no access to the internent) To all of you who are gaging your ears, go on Google and look up how to gage your ears and it will give you some helpful advice.
