How to care for an English bulldog

Okay, well I brought a puppy 11weeks, its at the vets at the moment.. They dont know whats wrong with it. blah blah.. anyways, when it comes out, I want to take care of it, and make it live a good life, but im not sure howw. liek I’ve read you need to clean there wringgles and stuff what else do you need to doo? and wot is the best food to feet it?

Every dog needs a nice warm bed, you will need to teach that this is were he sleeps so he builds up a routine. You will also need a good strong leed, a harness could also be applicable for a bulldog as they are quite strong!

Feedings- again it’s all about routine, same times, same place, same food.

Toys- Do not give him anything which could get lodged in his throat- you should get large toys. Most bulldogs like a simple ball to chase.

Food- A puppy dog formula should be given to puppy twice a day, morning and night. Do not leave the bowl out for the dog- this can lead to obesity and therefore health problems.

Bulldogs shouldn’t be in high tempratures. They tend to overheat more than most dogs so water and fresh air should be available at all times.

Make sure that you do keep the nails trimmed and keep him at a healthy weight. Walks are always good for you and your pet.

Beth hit one really important fact about Bulldogs…they overheat easily, so in the summer need to be kept in an airconditioned area…You have to take care, also, to not over exert them (because of heat). They don’t have a double coat, either…so in the winter, they have to be kept inside.

Feed GOOD food…not the crap at the grocery store…get it at a feed store…

Bulldogs tend to have skeletal problems, also…another reason to feed good food…Remember they were bred to be determined dog (stubborn is another word for it)…so you must be a strong, consistent leader…
