They are good dogs, most of the ones I’ve been around have really good personalities. You have to give them a little more attention health wise than others. They are prone to skin irriations especially on there faces. Good dogs tho. Also, before you go buy one and spend a lot of money, try the local vet clinics or humane societies, they might have one. I know every has different opinions but I would rather adopt a dog who needs a home than to spend a ton of money on something just because its papers. I’ve worked in a few vet clinics and I have seen some really good dogs, as well as purebreds come through that were abandoned.

If socialized with other dogs when young, they can be great with dogs and other animals, too…Some can be highly energetic…but I think the majority lean towards the lazy side of life. Every Bulldog I’ve ever “met” has been so sweet…lots of very wet kisses, lots of “snorts”… They are excellent with kids.

The down side…they cannot be kept outside when it’s very hot, or very cold…Heat will kill them faster than anything, tho, so care has to be taken when exercising them as well as providing a cool place to be on a summer’s day.

They also fart, drool, and snore…just an FYI… :)

one of my friends has 1 and is thinking about one that she saw at a shelter, anyhow, I asked her and she says that you will love `em! she says that they got along great with her other dog, a pitbull, and they play fought and everything, one of hers is really lazy though~oh and she says be prepared to do a lot of cuddling and stuff!

a friend of mine has two, they’re awesome playful and energetic, yet like our chili peppers fan says, they get lazy and laid back at times too…good choice…watch out for a “ring” tail in the puppy you choose, could lead to infections later in the dogs life in the tail area… 1200 is a good price for a healthy well- kept bull dog..they also get along fine with the french bull dog and the pug she owns…good luck!
