How do I get over my nerves?

I want to be an actress. Im really good. I’ve studied it long and hard im not an introvert, as a matter of fact im a extrovert. And im really social with just about anybody that I have to be. My only problem is that im really nervous when im auditioning and doing things of that sort. Acting is really important to me. And the pressure to do good always gets to me. I’ve tried a lot of things to get over my nerves, yoga, meditation, confidence, but when it boils down to it imy nerves always get the best of me. Now I dont need a simple pep talk. I need real help. Is there any way to get over this?

Do somthing crazy. You might need to make a fool of yourself in front of a large group of people. Just make sure you laugh about it afterwards. Usually doing somthing huge makes everything else as easy as a bag of chips! Everyone get nervous. The more you do it the easier it is.

The best way is to join amateur dramatics societies, in community centres or your town hall or local theatre. The rehearsals will build your confidence, even helping with props and behind the scenes will get you used to performing and im sure the amateur actors will let you use the stage when its out of use so you can practise expressing your voice loudly and clearly. Also try volountary work as a guide or demonstrating , anything that involves public speaking. We all have a thing called self speak where our mind tells us what we can and cant do, you need to tell yours you can be a confident actress .
