Well, is the basement live-able? Is there electricity, plumbing, safe walls, etc? Is it cleaned out or does it store stuff? As long as it’s habitable, I don’t see why just sitting him down and talking to him wouldn’t work. Explain that you need your privacy. If it needs to be cleaned or something , offer to do it…
Dear darkbluelight15, From your previous questions it seems that you may have been caught doing drugs. You asked about drug testing and then about gaining your step-fathers trust. I can see why you are on the couch. If this is the case and you are using drugs then this may be the way they have chosen to keep an eye on you. You wanted to know how to pass a drug test…of course you are not going to gain anyone’s trust using and then trying to cover it up.
