How can I lose weigh but still grow properly ?

I have put on a lot of weight recently and I don’t know whether its because im growing or have I been eating badly. I walk about 2.5 miles a day to school and back, I don’t eat a lot but when I get home from school I just snack on bad food and I can’t seem to help it. Then I have to eat. I really want to lose weight but how can I do this when my parents buys me so much junk food. I want to lose all my fat but I don’t want to stop growing properly. PLEASE HELP ! ! ! x x

If you want to lose weight, find how many calories you burn in a day, and make sure to eat a little less than that eat day. (You don’t have to be strict with it.) Make sure you are still eating enough in your day to get proper nutrients. If you cannot cut down on the calories without losing the nutrients, you need to exercise more in your day to balance it out. A way you could do this if you don’t have any extra time, is for ex. jog to school instead of walking. Jogging should burn more calories. For a free site to find what activities burn how many calories for whatever amount of time, go to this link: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calories_burned.htm

If you want to gain weight, it’s backwards. You eat more than you burn. (I don’t think you want to do this, so avoid it. =P)
