How Can I Lose 40 Pounds ASAP?

I'm willing to do it the healthy way,just so you know. I'm on the chubby side. I have muffin tops,love handles,chunky legs,flabby arms,a double chin and a fat tummy. :P I've never really been fat before. Ever. And I'm so self-conscious right now. How can I lose 40 pounds quickly? And how can I tone out my body? How can I get into healthier habits? Is becoming a vegitarian going to help at all? What are some activities/excercises that I could do? Thanks.
