Actually, they will help with moodiness, but only if you are in menopause and the hormones are prescribed correctly with the proper dosage. (Trust me on this because I learned first hand with my wife) Often, hormone replacement is a guessing game with types and dosage until the combination that helps is found. Too much is just as bad if not worse than not enough. (you seem alittle young to be in menapause so I'm not sure why your asking) but anyway, the best thing I've seen to work is called bio-dentical hormone replacement (I think). You get test kit from your doctor. Take a saliva swab and mail it in to a lab. The lab results determine the type and dosage of hormone you need so you are not over or under dosed.
Consider that introducing any type of hormone into your body can cause an imbalance, then moodiness is definitely a side effect; however, your system should regulate in time as long as you stay on a regularly scheduled treatment.
