Does anyone know any home remedies that can ease a migraine headache ?

Answer #1

Look into pressure points.

Massage the ares for 2-3 minutes and find out which pressure point/s relieves you headaches the best.

The pressure points for headaches are at the base of the skull, corner of the eyes, mid-forehead and between thumb and index finger.

I am not a doctor but I know a lot about headaches. My answer is purely for informational pourposes.

My ideas is to take 2 excedrin or 2 aspirin and a can of coke and then drink a big glass of water. Caffiene and aspirin thin the blood and a lot of migrains happen due to narrow blood vessals in the head or inflammation of tissue around the small blood vessals, aspirin and a little caffiene thins the blood and increase circulation and aspirin is also an anti inflammitory. The water is also for thinning the blood and also making sure that the fluids in the sinuses are not dehydrated and creating a sinus headache. Water at regular intervals helps everything including headaches so always drink plenty.

If it is not really a migraine or a sinus headache then it is likely one caused bu the nerves in your neck, try rotating your head and stretching your neck and or laying down with a rolled up towell under the base of your neck for a while.

the only thing that works for me is taking ibuprofen or codeine when the aura first starts BEFORE the actual headache sets in. After that, its all over and I just have to try to sleep it off in a dark room. If you get them regularly, its a good idea to see a doctor as recurring headaches can be indicative of a bigger problem, where you would want to to treat the source of the problem rather than just masking the pain.
