Know it will do you good and the main reason - respect your Mom.

You are not alone in your confusion… Read the boards… Multitudes are in the same shape…

The atheists are working overtime to demean every vestige of faith that is out there, and only the strong will survive this onslaught.

Every attack possible is coming against the faith that was handed down from the apostles.

If you are to survive, you will have to draw close to God and his word, or you will fall victim of the attack.

There are spirits of doubt and unbelief, and they are everywhere, working overtime, to steal, kill and destroy, what God is trying to build up.

Look around… and see what is actually taking place.

Look at the things that are happening in our society…

Babies having babies, at an alarming rate.

Sucide rates up, and continuing to rise.

Cutting at an all time high.

Drug use on the rise.

Homosexual spirits taking the day.

New Age agendas, on the rise.

Embracing every religion under the sun.

Faith under attack, continually. 24/7

Every argument in the book, coming against faith.

A constant barage, of unbelief.

The bible says that Jesus will not come, until a falling away happens first, this is prophetic, as he knew the end from the begining. Not that it had to happen that way, just that it would.

I think we are seeing people falling away from the faith, in droves, if one stays online very long.

Falling away, is a sign of the times.

A product of todays culture.

Answer #3

What silverwings is proposing is basically to be close minded - don’t admit the possibility that you could be wrong into your mind. This is exactly how religion propagates.

I’m sure I speak for a lot of atheists and agnostics when I say: Don’t just accept your religion, but don’t just accept atheism either. Evaluate the evidence. Go to church and really listen to what they preach. Read the bible, and compare it both to what they preach and objective reality as you know it. Read and understand the best arguments you can find for and against the existence of god or the plausibility of your particular religion. Then, make up your own mind.

All we can do by debating with you is present you with the evidence and try and persuade you. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what you think is the truth.

I find seeing someone dogmatically accept atheism almost as depressing as someone who similarly closes their mind to reason by clinging to their religion.

Answer #4

tell your mum that you have a right to beleive in whatever you want its your choice to make…and your right no one can force you to beleive in something you dont want to and you should have to put up with feeling sad that she cant accept you its your choice to make…not hers

Answer #5

some churches offer sat afternoon services…would that be an option for you?

Answer #6

I would have a problem with the early service also (well, actually I would have a problem with the service thing period). Is it just the time of the service you have a problem with or attending service at all? If it is just the time, discuss going to the later service with your mom. If she still wants to go early, ask if you can go to a later one with a friend. And then go.

Answer #7

hey I’ve gotten realy confused. I’ve been raised to be penticostle my whole life but latly I’ve been wandering how do I know that it is true. just like all the other theorys there is no stable proof that how it started in the beginning is true. like could a religion such wicca be better or better yet more truthful and realistic.

Answer #8

“The atheists are working overtime to demean every vestige of faith that is out there, and only the strong will survive this onslaught.”

Well, we only make up about 2% of the American population. I don’t think we’re really capable of an “onslaught”.

Answer #9

“The atheists are working overtime to demean every vestige of faith that is out there, and only the strong will survive this onslaught.”

No, actually I stated that she should GO to church…

“If it is just the time, discuss going to the later service with your mom. If she still wants to go early, ask if you can go to a later one with a friend. And then go.”

My last sentence “AND THEN GO”

But we all are evil, right?
