How can I stop my hair from being poofy?

I have black hair and whenever I wash it, it gets really poofy (its full but “poofy”) and static after it dries. How can I get rid of the static? I know a bit of water will help but after it dries, my hair starts to get poofy again. In other words, when my hair is dried up, it is a bit wavy (in part because of the static) and I prefer it to be straight.

Is there a special shampoo/conditioner I can use? I tried straightened it but my hair is the straightest my hair straightener can straight and I want it to be straighter than a bit wavy.

I want my hair to have less static and be straighter…

well danille you can go to the store and get a hair straightner and there you go, I used to go thought the same prob- here is what you can do 1- buy bio silk, 2 get a straightner 3- get hair cut. hope my advise helped sstarme16

Hi happy_babycakes,

John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease products used to help me when I had straight hair in middle/high school. Supposedly your hair texture changes every 6-7 years, and suddenly at the end of high school, my frizzy hair turned pin straight. It was great. :)

You should be able to find Frizz-Ease products at any beauty shop or pharmacy store.

well if you need moisture try putting egg yoke in your hair 30 minutes before washing it it might be stinky but it works great
