I'm not sure why my birth parents gave me up. Okay, so I was the size of a preemie but still, I healthy as far as I know.
Usually, giving up a child is because the birth mother believes that she cannot give her baby a good chance in life, and adoption will give the child a better chance. To give up a child is one of the hardest, and also one of the most selfless things to do. And to adopt a child is one of the most loving things to do. You were doubly blessed - a birth mom who wanted a better life for you, and an adoptive mom who chose YOU. Give your Mom (the one who raised you) a very special hug and 'Thank you', and don't worry about your birth mom for now. If later you need to find out family history, THEN you can try to find records or people who could help. Take care, and Good Luck!!
That's a really complicated question. There are a lot of reasons why someone would give up a baby, and usually it has nothing to do with health. Your parents could have been unfit to care for you in one way or more... There are a lot of possibilities. You could always try to track your parents and ask them yourself because none of us on here can give you a real answer to your question.
ya i agree usually when people give there babys up its cause they feel that they cant give them a good life or that there not fit to be a good parent...buts this is what i think me personally that just cause they gave birth to you and had you dosent make them a parent its who ever raised you and who has loved you and been there for you, ya know...
There's just so many reason. Complex, unfathomable, emotional reasons. I knew a girl in high school who got pregnant, had the baby, and was forced to give her up by her parents and that's just one of many reasons like Sodagirl and kaheelee said.
I did just that, gave my daughter up for adoption, I was taken advantage of at 13 and that was the best thing to do at the time. So like the others said, there are many reasons people do that
