I saw that question on another site and was wondering since god is so powerful, what would you think will happen if millions of people around the world select one child that is missing a leg or an arm and pray at the same time to have the limb regenerated?
Why there is no scientific evidence of true miracles like that?
Most of the miracles that people say happened to them can not without the shadow of a doubt be certain that they were miracles. Like if somebody is told they can't have a child and they become pregnant, or if they have terminal cancer and the cancer dissapears. Or if a plane crashes and nobody dies.
Those miracles can be possibly explained by science.
God does did do miricles I know this beacuse of the old testiment,now you say if thats true then why dosent he do some now, well I believe that befoe jesus god saw all the wrong things going on even with miricles he did he sent prophets to also do miricles but they were killed if god did not love us he wouldnt do what he did next, during the old testiment you can find many prophicies of jesus and his life 48 of the to be exact and he did all of them, for any man to proform 8 of them the chances are one in a 100 trillion, my favorite is isaiah 53:4 it talk about when jesus died, people were failing to live up to Gods standards some didnt but a lot did God sent them his son Jesus, he was perfect and he himself did miricles many miricles when he heled the sick and raised the dead it really means nothing beaacuse eventually those people got sick and died again in there sins some were saved but some still did not notice Gods power and love, Jesus was so Awsome some pherices or teachers of the law were jealous beacuse people loved him, when jesus went to jerusolem me told his deciples that he needed to die beacuse he was the ultimate sacrifies he predicted his own death and he was betrayed by one of his own followers even those that loved him didnt feel that way anymore the romans crusifed him and he was dead within hours. 3 days later he arose from the dead and after 30 day he went to heaven he did this for people to see how much God loved them so that if they exepted his love in there own heart they could be with him in heaven, and that was the ultimate miricle.jesus said that he would destroy the walls of jerusalem and rebuild it himself in 3 days, everyone laued becuse it took years to build it, they didnt understand that he was talking about how he was gonna die and 3 days later rise so that everyone can go to haven, so I've probably written to much by now, sorry but if this didnt answer your question then sorry again, remeber im only 15 if you have any questions just ask
I grew up catholic and when I was like 10 years old my parents told me that God makes Miracles and it was in the Bible. So one night I saw a show on TV and this guy had bionic legs and was super fast.
At school I was very slow at running or any sports. So that night I prayed with all my heart to wake up in the morning with Bionic legs.
The next morning I woke up and got up and was so excited!!! Yea, bionic legs!!! Can't wait to try them. I ate my breakfast real fast and went outside to test my new legs.
I started running and it didnt feel any different. At school I was still slow and wondered why my prayers were never answered.
Around the same period there was this really mean aunt that used to always yell at me and put me down and tell me I was really ugly. I really hated her. One day she happily told the family that she was pregnant and expecting a baby. I really hated seeing her so happy, so I decided to this time pray to the devil so that the baby would die.
With all my heart and many times along her pregnancy I prayed to Satan that he could have my soul if the baby would die.
They went to the hospital and she came home with the most beautiful baby girl. So after that I just doubted all that nonsense.

But how do you really know? I think is all self talk. Like you pray to get well from an illness and you get well, or stop using drugs, or conquer depression and since we learned from our parents or the culture we were born in about a superior being that would assist us in bad times then when we get better we attribute it to that superior being.
And why do some of us get so religious in bad times and in moments of deep despair but when everything is good then we go back to our not religious ways?
It happened to me. I had Cancer 10 years ago and it scared me back into reading the bible and going to church but only for that horrible and sad period of time. After I got better and happy I stopped going to church.
To me, God is the only reason for anything in this Universe. Nothing explains it better then in the Bible. I don't really know everything, my mom is really more smart with answers then me. She's the one I went to when I had questions. I wasn't a strong beleiver before and sometimes I do question things like you. But I'm trying not to question God because that's when I lose my faith.
But like my mother told me, all fear is related to death, but when you love the Lord and follow him, then you shouldn't be afraid because you know where you're going. And if you read the Bible, heaven is a place where their is absolutly no pain. You are happy all the time. But he looks in your thoughts and you're heart and see's if you're a good person or not. I just feel like we all have a purpose in whatever way and it doesn't matter what mine is, as long as it's for the good.

Sofia - Amputees would not be classified as a small piece of finger or a foot which NEARLY got amputated, it would be more like: If you loose your entire leg, either from the knee down or your entire leg. Or losing your arm or entire hand or whatever the case may be. So in the case of a person losing any of these, why DONT IT GROW BACK AFTER PRAYER, or would the excuse be: the persons faith is not enough OR it wont grow back cause theres a plan for you??? Or or ooorrr... could it be ... nah wont say that to loud :-)
The reason for there being no evidence is one of two things depending completely on who you ask ;
A lot of people would say there is no evidence of these miracles because God deosn't exist and it was pure luck or some scientific reason.
Others (like myself) would say that of course God won't give hard evidence because you won't believe in him, you'll know of his existence. He'll be all proof and no belief.

So essentially you're saying that God's first consideration when deciding if someone gets a miracle is if he can plausibly hide it from non-believers? That, in essence, God's top priority is not to help people, or make the world a better place, but to hide his own existence?
To me, everything happens for a reason, and humans weren't made to know everything. Well I can't tell you why God doesn't make legs grow back when amputated. But I do know He's the only One who helped me through the hardest times in my life. He answered my prayers, when I was deeply troubled and He still helps me everyday. To me that's a miracle in itself. My Faith and Hope through Him are my biggest strenghts in life.
because your "god" cant just make humans grow limbs back like starfish humans cant grow there limbs back and all those so called miracles are just people being brainwashed into thinking there better, and its especially common if there adrenalin is high from being in front of a lot of people wtching them science can tell you what humans dont grow limbs back "god" can not

There is no "real" answer everyone has their own opinions.
Believe what you want & let other do it aswell.

Why do people always have to have a ''seeing'' miracle to Believe? An amputee is a miracle in its self that they survived their tragedy of losing their limb(s)...just to start.
