I am feeling really emotional and want to eat my feelings but i know i will regret it later. how can i fight off these urges?
Get away from food, get in your car and drive, not anywhere specific, just drive. Go for a run, or walk. Think about something else. Get away from home. Go eat somewhere healthy and fill your tummy up, just eat, dont binge. Whatever is stressing you, take your mind off it. If its about a person, remember all the great nostalgic memories youve had with them. It may be hard at first but eventually you'll find yourself smiling aha. :) If its just things in general, get away, and think about YOURSELF for a minute, go out, and enjoy yourself. Instead of punsihing yourself, just enjoy.
You need to occupy yourself. This might sound super duper sad, but when I'm playing my xbox for long periods of time, (six to eight hours,) I won't eat the whole time I'm doing that. Just try to fill your time with stuff and stay away from food!
Another thing you can do is sit outside, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and count to ten with your fingers. Make the urge pass within those ten fingers.
you know you;ll regret it later. listen to music or do something that helps you relax. sing, read or do something you enjoy doing:)
find something ealse to do. paint, sing, play an instrument, or just run.
Drink water....1) It'll fill you up 2) It's good for you.....
When you feel the urge to binge go out side and go for a walk
