Because of this class, the rest of my grades are dropping. I honestly think it's too much for me. I know it won't look good on colleges but I truly believe that dropping the class will help the rest of my grades.

Usually you have to have a certain amount of credits for a history, math, science and English class; at my school we need 4 years of math and English then 3 years of science and government. If you can drop it and still graduate then go ahead, it will look worse to a college if all of your grades are suffering. If you still need to take a history class to graduate then just go into regular history/government or whichever classes your school offers.
"Only" if their is an add/drop period where you can add and drop classes without receiving a failing grade in the class. I would focus on the other classes and maybe make that one class up during the summer if at all possible. Because as most students know, once your behind in a class its nearly impossible to catch up. Colleges are more interested in your GPA then the classes you drop.
Make sure if you drop it it wont show up as an F or incomplete because that will hurt your GPA a lot. If you can drop it without it showing up in your report card then I would if it's too hard. I didn't take any AP courses in high school and I still got into the colleges I wanted.
Thank you :)
Spot on.
