Drinking helps me be successful

Whenever I have to face confrontation, I drink so I can’t feel any pain, or I drink until I don’t care, and then I face it. A lot of the time, I feel as though I need alcohol in order to live happily, and be succesful. It seems weird…usually alcohol screws people up, but I can deal with serious issues better if I’m a little drunk, becuase I’m able to face them, think logically, and not let any emotions interfere with my train of thought. I can talk to my boyfriend better when I’m a bit drunk, and no one ever actually notices that I’m drunk, which is the great thing abotu it. Sometiems I come to school drunk, and I can concentrate in class so much better! I do wish I could get things done…speak to people about seriosu issues sober, but I know it just wouldn’t go as well that way. does anyone else have the same issue as me? I’m not sure if I think this is a real problem., but I would like to hear opinions

Yes, it is a real problem. You’re going to get to a point where your tolerance will go up… which means more alcohol to get the same feeling, which eventually will destroy your liver, and your brain cells… in addition, the more you drink, the more you gain tolerance, eventually you’re addicted, to the point where you cant not drink, then there’s withdrawl, and you get to a point where you stop functioning… It’s easy to lose control. No alcoholic ever thought they would lose control when they first start drinking. But it happens to all of them at some point. You need to learn to function without alcohol. Your boyfriend will eventually notice, and you’re going to start to have relationship problems…

This is a problem, being alcohol dependent is never a good thing, the reason you think you are more successful is because the alcohol depresses the areas in your brain that many higher level thoughts such as your concience. If you stop drinking for a while and do everything the same as before, I think you will find that you are just as confident, and will usually make better desisions.
