Why doesn't Apple put HDMI connection on their laptops?
Is it because they still try to sell that “Apple TV” crap? I know it’s HDMI on the new iPad, but why not on the mac-book and mac-book pro?

No, you don’t :) Not even on the newest Mac book pro is there an HDMI connection. There’s only the “mini display connection”. I believe you can connect HDMI to it, but then you gotta buy some new apple device, and we all know how cheap they are.
There is actually HDMI on the Mac-mini. But who wants to have that?
i also have a mac mini. i got that for my house (well for my parents)
