Do we care for our "brothers and sisters" or do we blame God?

Most people want to know why the world is like this? Most of them point the problem towards GOD, but I believe that if we are capable of loving and caring for our brothers and sisters, things will be fine but do we do that?

If not, why?

Answer #1

So it isnt actual free will… It’s do it my way or be condemned to hell? That doesnt really give you a choice if you have threat of eternal hell hanging over you…

Answer #2

The world is what we make it.

I agree

And the world sucks.

Answer #3

Thank you for the question. It’s ver deep in it’s nature.

The world is no longer based on honesty and love, so NO. I don’t think that we can ever get back to a peaceful world. People are complacent and not willing to do anything for the betterment of others, let alone the Earth.

It seems that people are quite willing to die to keep their conveniences, instead of working together to make things better for the masses. Selfish, greedy people are killing our freedom.

About God, I do believe that there is something greater than me, and I call him God. However, nothing is ever in God’s hands. Think of this:

If God put us here to ultimately fulfill a purpose, and if he is supposed to “take care” of everything, then why were you put here at all???

Answer #4

I don’t see the world being good or bad as God’s doing. God gave us the one thing that can make the world a better place, or ruin it. Freedom of choice. We all have the choice to help people in need, we also have the choice to roll up our windows and lock the doors when a homeless man approaches.

Answer #5

On the free will thing from ty, in parenting often we give our child two choices we can say:

You can clean up your room and have dessert, or you can go to bed without it.

Which is the right choice. We ultimately give our children the choice, and it makes them less likely to be defiant, but it gives them free will.

Answer #6

So it’s all in God’s hands, except what we do? Why bother praying to God? If it’s all in our hands? Either God controls is all, or not… you cant have it both ways…

Answer #7

well the reason the world is messed up is because god gave us the most powerful power of all choice, and with this we chose to destroy ourselves. People blame god because they see him as the father figure, but only use him to blame when bad things happen. If we did all love and care for each other by choice the world would be better, but we choose to blame our actions on others.

Answer #8

Blame started in the Garden of Eden, when Adam blamed Eve… and Eve blamed the serpant…

Truth starts, when we accept responsibility for our own actions, and make a willing decision to follow what God has laid out in his word.

Things go much better for us, when we do. And we live a happier life, because of it.

Answer #9

So there’s a plan, if only we’d follow it? Doesnt that take away from free will? If something has already been set then you’re not doing what you believe is right, but what God wants… defeating free will…

Answer #10

it isn God’s fault how we act, some people will act however they want to but one day God will punish them…so who do we blame, us, not him…he plainly told us what we should do, its up to us to do it. if you are lazy and have the dont care and dont want to attitude, thats your own fault, not God’s, its your fault that you dont care or love, its your fault that you dont witness, and its the whole christians fault that the world got this way, if we voted and stood up for what is right, we wouldn have, all this sin around the place, its our own fault that its bad and whatever happens, its us to blame, and we have to deal with it now, its called consequences, and we are going through it, however, through God, we’ll get through it, no it wont be easy, but we’ll make it :)

Answer #11

Ty. Christians pray so that we can ‘tune in’ to God’s will. God already knows what’s to be done, but do we? So it is in His hands and ours at the same time.

Eyoel, I take your point. People are sefish and ignorant, but at the same time they can be kind and loving. Our human nature has strengths as well as weaknesses. I think that the weaknesses show in times of fear or in times of plenty - if you are scared for your own family you may be less caring about others, and if you are so well off that you have forgotten fear or poverty you don’t care about others. In either case I pray that God will wake us up to our duties to others.

Answer #12

I’ld have to agree with ty if he created us, knew us & what we were going to do in life, if our lives are in his hands, wouldn’t it be his fault?

I don’t believe in the Christain god, nor do I blame him or any other god. I blame humans for their ignorence. You know they’re to blind to actually do that(love ach other & such) Some might, but the majority on the other hand, it’s all about theirself, they’re to selfish to see.

Answer #13

Right, well I have corrected your grammar so that it is easier for others to approach it.

If we love and care for our friends as you refer as “brothers and sisters” then there is some kind of sense that things will be ok as the saying goes “You got my back, I got yours” meaning we will pick them up when they are down and they will do the same to us.

In this day and age there are a lot of problems. People always blame others but not themselves, not everyone blames God. But some do. Therefore we turn to the ones we love. Our friends and families. We confinde in them and we hope they will to us.

The world is what we make it.

I don’t know what planet you naysayers are living on, but from where I sit, life is pretty damn good. Just turn CNN off and you’ll be fine.
