Do I have to invite her

I have an associate who I absolutely adore!! We go out together occasionally and its wonderful. The problem is now his girlfriend is moving here and I know for a fact he is only with her due to their child. I still want to hang out with him and others from work but I do not feel I should have to invite her. I have met her before and I do not like her at all. Do you think its fair to only invite him or do I have to invite her too?

If it’s work social, then you don’t have to invite her.

If it’s personal social, then etiquette states you should invite her, but you’re not forced to honor that code.

If you don’t like her, you don’t have to socialize with her, but make sure you understand that it could affect the friendship you have with her boyfriend - if she feels left out, she might make things difficult for you.
