My italian boyfriend of two years is inviting me to rome

I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years and he invited me to rome this summer. I’ve rarely had any luck with guys so I rarely see ex boyfriend’s parents. The problem is I can’t make conversations. I mean I can ask how long have you had this house for? What kind of food do you guys eat here? Then when they answer my questions, I stop talking because I don’t know how to follow it up and talk about the same topic.

I know they’ll ask questions about myself but I want to learn to talk about the same topic too.

Do you mean his parents only speak Italian and you don’t know how to make conversations in Italian?

Either way, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Your boyfriend obviously likes you and I’m sure his parents will like you too. You don’t have to constantly keep them entertained with conversation. Be friendly to them but don’t blabber like an idiot. :) Answer their questions, ask them some general non intrusive questions and smile! You’ll do just fine.
