Did we live in heaven before we came to earth?

I have heard this is true. Did we live as angels before we were born on earth? What do you believe? Please, no ‘wise guy’ answers, thank you.

I think these memories reside in the spirit. Such may only be expressed with intuition…deja vu…creativity…nothing concrete… I equate it to playing different video games…You can inhabit an avatar in one and utilize learnt behavior from the avatar in the other. You can’t exactly interchange the items between the two. Perhaps it is a one way street, the soul being of a higher dimension may not be able to impart knowledge only obtain it through its other dimensional avatars. We, embodying earthly avatars, may not be able to access the memory of the spirit. Perhaps the point is not to be able to know anything from the past… maybe this is the point to this life. Perhaps knowing something as fact takes from the experience of having faith. Maybe what we are here to learn is only possible by having no knowledge of the past. Perhaps we’re here for no good reason at all and only need to realize this and leave. Then again maybe I’m here alone talking to myself and all the voices are those of the evil deceiver’s and myself. I don’t know…but I can imagine the possibility.

“God and Reincarnation?”

I believe that God is a Creative Entity, Energy or Force that is found in a state of awareness outside of the universe and time.

I believe that God chose to morph part of Itself into minute particles of Itself described as entities or spirits and gave them the purpose to go forth and experience, gain knowledge and eventually return into the Oneness of God.

I believe that those collective entities created the universe and, utilizing evolution as a tool, created that that is life so that they could inhabit various bodies in order to gain experience and knowledge.

Prior to incarnating into a physical body the entity chooses what it wants to accomplish and what the probable circumstances involving that body and its environment will be. When the situation is right the entity then begins to dwell within the physical body, probably around the time of its birth.

When the body dies the entity dwells in a state of awareness where it can see whether it met its goals and what gains and losses it may have attached to its being. It then, again, decides what future goals it wants to achieve and reincarnates when the conditions are appropriate.

Ultimately, after incarnating as many times as necessary to attain its goals, the entity gravitates back into the Oneness of God adding to the fulfillment thereof.

I choose

I chose to be born, to live or die, Even the sex, that would be I; I chose the race, from which to appear, Also my wealth, my health and my fear.

I chose my trials and stumbling blocks, And the legs I would use, in all of those walks; I chose my sadness, my joy and my love, I chose to serve and not be above.

I chose this life with all of its dues, And with each dawn, again I choose; The experiences for me that wait ahead, To be alive, or be claimed dead.

And of the future lives I’ve yet, It is my choice that I begat; All the things, however pleasin’, That shall befall me in those seasons.

The above is my opinion which is expounded upon in my treatise A Search For Truth:

From my chosen path I stray, Yet my God any’er turns away; For I have learned – and understand, That where God is – is where I am!

ORION,

I’M A MESSIANIC CHRISTIAN,WHO HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS. YOU WILL FIND THAT MORMONS DO BELIEVE WE PRE-EXISTED AND CHOOSE TO BE TESTED ON EARTH. NOT AN ANSWER,BUT A COMMIT!!!

Answer #4

It seems to me, that if you lived in any form prior to this one, you aught to have some memory of it. If not, then in what sense is your current form the same person as that other one who lived before?

Answer #5

I feel very similar to ethmer…I believe the subjective retains it’s consciousness and can interact freely with all others composing the entity. I like to imagine that there will always be questions that need to be searched out. I feel as though we are trapped in this reality until we achieve gnosis. I believe we replay our lives until we get it right.

Answer #6

It depends on your beliefs. I personally believe in the after life - so I believe we have all been someone else in the past and were re-born as who we are now.

Answer #7

I believe that is New Age teaching

God gave man the ability to have children.

He set things in motion.

We are born, we live, we die.

We have an opportunity to be resurrected, and live forever, with him, in Heaven, if we accept his sacrifice for us.

Everything else has been added to this foundation.

If we stray from the basics, I think we get way off in left field.

Answer #8

The Moromon church has all the imformation on that subjuct wich is called “THE PLAN OF SALVATION”and yes we all did live before our earthly lifes in what we know as the pre existance AKA the spirit world, we all lived there with our heavenly father whos plan was to send us down to earth so we can be tested here if we could live ritously keep the commandments and all return with him once again, none of us have any memory of the pre existance. The Mormon church is the only one true church and we will all have the opurtunity either here in this life or after we die and go to the spirit world when we die and soon be judged. any one please mail me if you would want to know more about this and ask me any questions

Answer #9

No I dont beleive we were angels before we came to earth. When I was little I used to imagine god would make us.. and then tell us our life and hints on stuff and that is why we would know if it was safe to be in this place at this time..you know when you get chills. I know that it’s not true now but that’s what I imaged as a child. I believe God makes us and sends us down when we are perfect. I dont think that we are all angels. Angels are very beautiful and smart. Humans are lower life.

Answer #10

If humans are lower life how then can we be “perfect” like you mentioned?
