Oh lol well no worries. Functionalism is a sociological perspective. The functionalist approach to sociology views society as a big team of institutions which all work together in harmony so that society functions smoothly. Functionalists believe that the main role of an institution is to socialise individuals so that they understand the underlying values of their society and do not become deviant members.
I just think David Cameron is one because of his 'Big Society' ideas.
I can't find that word in the wikipedia article about him: http://funadvice.com/r/bhcmu5vvat0 however, that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't....or that I got the right David Cameron :)
More detail would help...what does 'functionalist" mean, perhaps I don't get it b/c I'm American?
Oh and if you didn't know already David Cameron is the Prime Minister of the UK.
