Crying for palastinians

Why is it that when palastinians send 7 bomb to isreal, and kill 8 of them only, they send them back a million bombs, they shoot them, and start killing all over again. When I watch the news and see burned babies, dead innesent children, children watching their parents die right infront of them, and old people/grandparents dieing or watching their family die one by one, I just cry cry cry and cry, and it just hits me where ever I go.. I’m depressed, eating so much to make me feel better, and not studying at all, what should I do? I feel guilty, I’m safe, I have a house, water, food, electricity, and everything good, while they cant even find a place to sit and rest for 5 minutes :(

The trouble in the Middle East is a knife that cuts both ways. There is cruelty and brutality on both sides. It hasn’t helped that the U.S. has had blinders on in regard to Israel for a very long time. Israel can do no harm, according to most U.S. administrations. Jimmy Carter’s book “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid” hits the nail on the head… “Israel’s continued control and colonization of Palestinian land have been the primary obstacles to a comprehensive peace agreement in the Holy Land.” And, “The bottom line is this: Peace will come to Israel and the Middle East only when the Israeli government is willing to comply with international law, with the road map for peace…”. I am jewish and I supported Israel completely when they were David, now that they have morphed into Goliath, I do not believe that every action Israel does should be praised and sanctioned by this country. The goal should be peace and until BOTH sides are willing to comply and respect the others right to live, the horror will continue. But, in no way do I think that EITHER side is completely to blame. As I said, the knife cuts both ways.

Islamic Relief is a great charitable organization that provides humanitarian assistance, and is working directly on the situation in Palestine. The name may have religious affiliation, but it’s kind of like Christian Children’s Fund: the religion part is really only in the name.

Anyway, you can help them out and read all about their efforts in Palestine here: http://www.irw.org/campaigns/palestinecrisis08

I don’t know if I’m allowed to plug charities like this, but I don’t work for them, I’ve just given to them from time to time.
