Answer #3

If you don’t know the difference between daydreams and reality, yes…

Answer #4

I sure hope not. I spend just about my free time in a fantasy world if I can. Because lets face it, reality is over rated.

Answer #5

lol im suprised im not mental i use to day dream so much that i would forget i was in the real world and would have to really focus to get out of it

Answer #6

It is true, day dreaming is nice and a good escape from the real world. If you are having trouble telling the two apart especially when you have to focus to snap out of a day dream then that may be cause for concern.

Answer #7

You know that there’s very few people on here qualified to diagnose a mental illness? And anyone who is qualified would NEVER actually diagnose someone online. Also you’ve given us absolutely nothing to go on. Also, you’re talking about a possibly psychotic illness. Something that is very hard to diagnose in person, let alone online. In short, who knows. You could be using day dreaming as a defense mechanism, or you could actually be psychotic. Consult a psychiatrist or a psychologist.

Answer #8

Think of daydreaming as this. It really is the true reality. What you see out front is an illusion created by everyones idea of what the dream is. That is why we have change in all things. Every-time you look at something it changes, even if it doesn’t seem to. The season show it.
If everyone didn’t have their own reality about everything there wouldn’t be change. The problem with daydreaming is if it is just to pass the time, or out of bored, that is not a create. When you look at an image in your mind use it as something you want. Keep it there, always remind yourself of it and re-create it in your mind. It will come to past. Want it, know it is true, know it is yours now. Don’t put a must have right now on it. The time will come when you least expect it. And it will be perfect for you. Daydreaming is the most healthy exercise there is for an individual. All creative people daydream. Look at Edison. He constantly dreamed. Always. I do always.
This is one of my favorite thoughts. “Dreams are created by Artist, and Artist create the FUTURE”. Never be shy to dream. You may be one of the great dreamers of our future. If anyone tells you that daydreaming is bad and a mental disorder tell them, “to f… off.”
Daydreaming is good and sane. The only sane thing there is, because it is your reality. There is nothing more real than your reality.
