Cataracts And an Astigmatism

Ok…so 6 months ago I was told I have cataracts in both my eyes and have done since I was born but weve never been told about it, anyway…my eyesight has been total messed up recently again and now if been told I have an astigma also…is this serious. Will I HAVE to get surgery.

Like today I couldnt even do my english prelim thing because I couldnt read the text as it went blurry when I tried. :( it was total important too.

I keep getting a sharp pain shoot through my left eye and I told the optition guy today and they said that he didnt have a clue what it was and if it continued for a month then im going to have to be refered to the hospital. does this have anything to do with cataracts do you know?

I dont want to go blind. im scared. Im only 15

Astigmatism – very common, and corrected with cylindrical lenses, Many people are short sighted (near sighted) and have an astigmatism. It’s no big deal, if you don’t wear your glasses to read you’ll get a headache. It causes horizontal and vertical lines to blur, in a nutshell.

Cataracts, VERY easy to fix nowadays. :) stop worrying immediately! lol
