Can I move out and live with the government if im barely 15

My step dad is a alcoholic and Im sick of his B.S. every time we have a problem with him we end up calling the police. He has promised to stop drinking and it drives me crazy that my mom wants me to deal with that. I have high blood pressure and a short temper. I’ve lived with his crap for 12 years and never have we had a nice year with him. I’m sick of it and my physical and mental health is at risk because with all the pressure and stress I was told I can have a panic attack or lead to suicidal thoughts is there any one that can help me figure this out because I’m sick of sharing a life with him and I want out, with or with out my mothers support.

talk to a councellor at school. you might be able to get placed in a foster home… or the foster system. BUT, that too is not a can of peaches…

my dad was an alcoholic that was addicted to every drug out there… and dont get me started on abuse.

I hung in there… my life turned out perfectly fine. if I would have left and went into the foster care system, I would have ended up as a completley different person…and not for the best.

talk to your school guidance councellor. there is other options out there then living “with the government”.

…foster care really is a tragic thing…its for kids who really dont have a family… or for kids who are in terrible danger… learn to deal with your stress and panic attacks… they have medicine for that. …foster care aka “living with the government” will mess you up far more then staying at home until your 18.

talk to your councellor at school. they will give you your options.

and dont do anything stupid or hasty because kids your age think they know it all.

Well obviously she has talked to somebody. If you want to move out you could try to live with relatives…government…hmm, no I don’t think so. Foster homes are available but living with somebody more caring and loving in your mothers family is probably more welcoming.
