What should i say when i call my employer back ?
.. its been about a week now since my last interview, but they didnt call yet, should i call them back and ask if i got the job ? because or else i’ll be wasting my time doing nothing ..& summers almost done !
It has been a week and that is a reasonable time to let pass before calling them — unless they gave you a time limit.
Just tell them that you are making a follow-up call to find out if they have made a decision about the position. If they say yes you can ask what it was. If they say ‘No’, you can say that you won’t call back for another week. (That gives you an opening in 7 more days.)
Incidentally, do not ask straight out “Did I get the job?” Ask “Has a decision been made on the position?” or “Has the position been filled?”
If you didn’t get picked, make sure you nicely request that they keep you in mind for any future positions.
Also, as a tip for you, go ahead and apply to other companies while you are waiting.

Absolutely keep on applying everywhere and anywhere….the worst that will happen is you’ll have to make a choice between two jobs…both who want you to work for them.
