ya use tdameritade or one of them. first you should open a yahoo account so you can create a stock portfolio free of charge. cycle through and look up stocks you could be interested in. you want to watch em as long as possible before you buy. just because its at its all time low doesnt mean its going to go back up. I’ve taken quite a hit in the market because because I acted to quick. one thing I learned is that with stock you have to be patient. right now is either a really bad time to get into it, or a really good time if your smart about it. just be patient

Open an online trading account. To buy and sell is nothing more than a few button clicks after that. My favorite is tdameritrade, but they’re not the cheapest.

Keep in mind though that your income tax returns will probably become much more complicated. You can not file a 1040 EZ if you are reporting capital gains, losses, distributions, royalties, etc. That’s a minor consideration, but if you’re just wanting to play around with a few shares, it might be worth considering.
