Would a boxer dog be in the group of dogs that are good fighters?

Answer #1

I would say so, pit bulls were usually used for fighting but I do believe boxers are aggressive also.

Answer #2

Yes

Answer #3

I find this question a little irresponsible … you’re not intending on getting a boxer for the purpose of fighting, I hope, because that is animal cruelty and it is against the law. If that’s not your intention then - please, in the future, be more specific with your questions.

Answer #4

no absoulutely not, im just curious, she is our house pet and that is it, she is not meant for fighting..

Answer #5

ya i think(:

Answer #6

Boxers are a little in that category but they are not aggressive by nature. They are sweet house pets and actually can get sick quick if left outside for too long. They don’t take good to changes in temperatures due to their bare bellies and they need constant human companionship or will get homesick. They also only last around 8 to 10 years.

Answer #7

kayyy just to straighten this out because it is a pet peeve of mine, a pitbull and a boxer have potential to be fighters and both also have the potential to be loving house pets. A chihuahua is just as much a fighter as a doberman but they can’t inflict as much damage so stupid people don’t find it as entertaining so, any dog can be aggressive and yes zdenek boxers are a powerful breed if thats what you want to know.

Answer #8

Boxers are in that group yes, but origionally bred for bull fighting. They get their name because they will literally fight on their back legs and hit (box) with their front legs. I breed and show boxers, and i seriously hope you aren’t fighting your boxer. Now back to the question a boxer has such a short nose though durring fighting it could have problems breathing or even get heat stroke. Boxers over heat very quickly and can die. People say boxers are good natured dogs, yes they can be. It is honestly all on how you raise them. If you teach a dog to think he/she is the best it will fight. Sick people though.

Answer #9

I would have to say yes and no. no because of the weak jaw structure of the boxer breed and they are more playful in nature than tenacious. Yes, because they can be dominant and aggressive towards other dogs enough to fight.
