Do I really have to take my birthcontrol at the same EXACT time every day?

During a normal school week I take it at about 630 am, but now it’s xmas break (and on the weekends I do this too): i take it when I get up, which is hours later than 630. (up to 4 hours later). And today, I didn’t eat breakfast because I woke up late and my boyfriend and I were planning to go out to eat, but now that didn’t happen. It’s now 315 pm..we had unprotected sex yesterday and he did start to finish in me but pulled out for most of it. Does the fact that I don’t take it at the same time everyday, and am really late today, make it more possible for pregnancy? :/

Answer #1

I never did and it never failed me. But no birth control is 100% effective so there is always a chance

Answer #2

When takeing birthcontrol advicements are

  • Take everyday
  • take at same time everyday
  • try to have a small snack or meal as to avoid any upset stomach or nausea that may possible occur
  • consult doctor for any unusal symptoms. Personally my parents don’t trust me to rember to take a pill everyday around the exact same time so they put me on the shot (only taken ever 3 monthes) So if your haveing issues you might want to consider getting on that, plus it can stop your period plan out.
