I’ve found a few ways that work for me that might work for you–

When I have to list things, I take the main idea out of each thing needed to be listed and try to make goofy sentences with it. It’s easy to remember a weird sentece, and it should help trigger the ideas.

Another things that helps me is to look something over for like 5 or 10 minutes. Whenever you are doing something that requires no brain power, think about what you just looked over. Whether it’s walking from room to room, changing your clothes, eating, showering, petting your cat, or even using the restroom. If I forget something, I’ll look it over and do another mindless activity and think about it. Say it aloud to yourself several times… it helps.

One more thing I do – Write random facts down on separate pieces of paper. Read them and stick them to odd things in your house… oven, mirror, rug, door, clock, whatever. Then I can remember what fact I put where and it helps. You could even try color coding each one for a more vivid picture.

Yeah these are kind of goofy, but somehow they seem to work for me!! So at least try them… it can’t hurt.

The best way to study for a test is to study when you are just learning something new once you have mastered it as testing time comes you just have to revise what you already know, without the headache of trying to cram all that knowledge in a few days.
