Am I a vegetarian?

My mom told me that she was cooking chicken and I asked her if she was cooking anything on the side, she is which is rice. I told her I stopped eating chicken months ago and she asked if I was a vegetarian now and I said I don’t think I am,I still eat meat, but just not chicken.

At school I only eat the chili dog’s from Wienerschnitzel, and 2 cookies. I don’t eat the chicken patties they give anymore. Am I a vegetarian now or what?

Answer #1

You aren’t a vegetarian until you eat no meat what-so-ever, no gelatine (Cattle/pig skins & feet), no animal fats and no rennet (The insides of a calf’s stomach, found in some cheeses.)

Answer #2

Different people define vegetarian differently but if you eat meat you are not really a vegetarian.

I had a college roommate who called himself a vegetarian because he didn’t eat red meat one day a week. He has to take the prize for stretching the definition farther than anyone.
