Allowances how much???

I don’t get allowance. If I want something, I ask my parents for it and they will buy it for me. I also make my own money.

I get 200 per week and I am 17 yos and I have this fight my my dad( they are divorce) to not send me any more money than the child support I don’t know I fee werid ;(

lol I gusess it matters on how you treat your parents, what you do…and stuff like that. like you have to earn it, unless your a spoiled brat…no offense any spoiled brats :P lol. but I know people who get $5-$10 a week or I know people who get $20 a month. mee I dont get allowance :(… another thing that matters is how much your parents make. you cant expect money and thinga if they have bills and food and neccesiteies around the house. but people who have a really high income usually get big allowances like $100 a amonth or more.

It really depends on what the parents are comfortable with but a good rule of thumb is to give the child x-amount of dollars per week that’s equal to their age. For example, an 8 year old would get $8/week, a 12 year old would get $12/week…I know this sounds a little stupid but it’s actually quite a good system that helps kids learn about money management at an early age.

I get about 40 dollers a week when I really need it. I try not to ask for money , only if I really need something. I dont take ADVANAGE over my parents because my parents try to buy my love.

Allowances are for spoiled chidren in my opinion. Living in a house, you are expected to do your share of the work. Occassionally, I get money from my parents because they believe I’ve done something to deserve it, not because it is required once a week.
