She follows me everywhere

This little girl my mom watches is like my little sister. She follows me everywhere and does everything I do. She’s 2 and her parents are getting a divorce. Its sooo sad because not only is she really young, but so are her parents. I don’t know if they’re even 30 yet. But neway,my dad said she’d be ok but I don’t know. Should bring up the option of adopting her? Because I love her sooo much and I dont want her to go thru this @ such a young age. And my parents said they want another kid but I just dont know if I should bring up that conversation

Answer #1

ik but if her parents dont want her we could rite? if she didnt have newhere else to go?

Answer #2

Why would her parents not want her? Why do you assume they’re just going to get rid of their child?

Even if they didn’t want her, the child would go to child welfare and be placed…your parents would have to go through rigorous inspection to see if they even qualify to foster her, let alone adopt her.

If I were that mother, I’d be seriously re-thinking the type of people I’m leaving my child with!

Answer #3

yes if the parents wanted to leave their child with you, then they could sign over gaurdianship to you..but that desion is totally up to them. and ichibanarky is rite, just because they are getting divorced doesnt mean they dont want their child..so you should probably just stay out of it..if the parent want to give your family there baby girl then they will talk to you about it

Answer #4

You can’t arbitrarily adopt someone else’s child.

Just because her parents are getting a divorce doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of caring for their child. They will deal with her - you have no business in this. And your dad is right…she’s young and will adapt well to this situation.

Answer #5

well their kinda rude. yeah I c where your going with it. but mabe you shjould c if the baby can stay with you untill the divorce is compleat and then find out whatll happen to her…
