Any transportation craft ideas for preschoolers?

I have CWC (Career With Children) as a class at my school. the teacher asked us to look for good crafts for our theme. My theme is Transportation. My question is the following:

What are good arts and crafts ideas for preschoolers? (ages 3-5)

Answer #1

You can place paint onto a paper plate and use toy vehicles and dip their tires into the paint and make tire track prints on a piece of paper.. it works best if the tires have some kind of “tread/groves” in them to make cooler tracks!

Answer #2

hot air balloon - using a paper cup, punch 4 holes in the top, tie yawn to each hole and connect it to a drawing of a hot air balloon.. have the children color the balloons (or use real balloons if allowed - due to choking hazzards)

Answer #3

Those individual serving size cereal boxes make cute cars or boats (and they can eat the cereal inside too). If you string them together, they could be train cars… Just make sure you open them, so their boxes don’t rip. Maybe you could get lolly-pop sticks (they sell the round, thin, tubular kind at Hobby Lobby) to poke through the sides for wheel axels. Then all you have to do is find something round for wheels.

Answer #4

use paddle pop sticks and get them to build a car or something. or tell them to draw how they go to school. :)
