Can anyone tell me exactly what aerobics is like? Is it difficult to do? I heard it's something like dancing but I'm horrible at dancing and steps, is it simple enough for a extreme beginner like me?

yes aerobics is so much fun I go 2-3 times a week to a class and the first night I didnt know the routine but I soon got the hang of it, I love it and am sure you will too :-)
