Is 130 pounds a lot for a girl of 15 and 5'9 and wants to model?

Answer #1

im not going to lie to you. if you want to be one of the models you see on tv/in magazines, yes. that is too heavy. the models you see are actually TOLD to look anorexic, they are ALL underweight and extreemly unhealthy, because unfortunantly thats what you ave to look like to be a model, an anorexic stick. unless of course your a plus sized model, who in real life are normal sized girls, they just call them plus size because if your in the media, being a normal weight looks fat compared to everyone else whos pressured to stay thin. in reality your weight is perfectly fine, in fact because your so tall, you could actually gain some weight. however if you want to be a model like the ones you see in tv/magazines, ect. you do need to be disgustingly underweight. and if thats what it takes to be a model, its not worth it. NOTHING is worth risking your health. there are a few modeling agencies that actually take girls no mater what weight they are and arnt into the whole anorexic look, good modeling agencies like that though are hard to find. as most of them pretty much destroy all girls self esteem by either only taking anorexic and disturbing underweight girls, or taking normal gilrs and calling them plus size

Answer #2

if it helps, muscle weighs more than fat.

Answer #3

According to BMI, you are in excellent shape. For modeling, you may or may not need to lose a few more pounds. A lot of it depends on the agency you work for.

Answer #4

The modeling dream is just that for most girls a dream. Even if your the best looking girl on the planet. Getting discovered is the key. Are you connected, do your parents know people in high places, that’s what you need to focus on. Unfortunely it has alot to do with where you live and who you know, not the talent you have. Pretty much like any other job but to the extreme.

Answer #5

Yes, stay away from agencies that want you skinny. There are lots of new opportunities for ‘normal’ weighted models. Show the world how classy you are not how emaciated.

Answer #6

im 15 5’4 and 120 pounds. for your height no that’s not fat. that is actually normal. and if you want to be a model i’d say lose 30 pounds and im sure you could be one
