Your gone… in a blink of an eye you left us all We didn’t see it coming, and the thought of it will pierce our hearts forever No goodbye was necessary for we all knew that that would never be the last. Your laughter and undeniable smile will stay vivid in our minds forever And your kindness and crazy wit has touched us all in unexplainable ways. But even thoughts of you can’t fill the gorge we all encounter daily. Not having you here seems like an undeserving punishment. It’s almost been a year, and definitely the hardest of my life. I can’t image another one without you, and more just seems impossible You were my home away from home, My shoulder for my tears, And a friend who I could share my laughter .
You live in my heart through spirit and through Christ. But to me it doesn’t seem enough. The weight of the world is against me, and I don’t have you to help me lift it. The misery of my being is so very real, and you’re not here to tell me to smile You are in heaven, and I am on earth. You are with loved ones, and I walk with strangers. You smile behind the bright golden gates, while I walk past graffiti infested streets. But you also walk beside me, through the graffiti, the strangers, and the misery. You are my angel. And without you, I would surely disappear…

That is sooo beautiful. It reminds me of my grandmother. I was shattered when she died and this reminded me of what a special person she was. I love your poem.

Answer #3

You share your thoughts beautifully… and it is so wonderful to have known the love of a grandparent, even if for only a short time. I was not fortunate enough to have this in my life, and there was a time when I missed it greatly, but, Gods love brought me thru that period, and I am ok now. You are blessed that you can remember the love that she shared. Comfort yourself with your memories, until you see her again.

God bless…
