Yasmin contreceptive

I only started it 20 days ago… but I’ve took it evry day without faill, I only had sex tonight.. do you think I’ll be ok ?x

Yaz is a low estrogen pill, and like all low estrogen BC it can occasionally cause two symptoms that the literature doesn’t talk about, or at least not much. The first is vaginal dryness and the second is lowering of libido. Few women experience these and neither reduce the effectiveness of the birth control, but they can reduce the pleasure of your relationship. If either of these happens, you may benefit from simply changing to a more balanced BC pill. Also if it’s just dryness (symptoms include a burning sensation following intercourse), use of an estrogen cream may also help.

I think you will be fine. Most BC pills say to take for a full cycle before you consider yourself safe, but a ‘full cycle’ is 21 of the hormone pills followed by 7 days of sugar pills. You got in almost the full cycle of meds. I’m not going to guess as to the exact percentages here, but it’s got to be in the mid to high 90s.
