Wyoming hardship license for teens

I searched this and found your answer.

I live in Casper, my son just turned 14 and with me being a single mother, it would be a lot easier if he could drive.

It sounded like you have a hardship license, how did you get it and what does it require?

Any advice you could offer or your parents would be great.

Thanks!

Hello Mulereiner: In order to get a hardship/farmer license, the family member must prove it is needed. You can’t say “It would be nice if junior could drive.” Tell them (the DMV licensing people) the errands he would be needing to run. Tell them how many miles it is to school, if he will be in sports, and the time it takes to get home.

The restrictions are: no night driving and a limit of 50 miles one way.

Check with your licensing office and they will get you started.

Blessings as your young one takes on the great responsibility of sanely controlling a 3000+ pound missile!
