violent teens

my husband is leaving me. He has a troubled teen with a violent history and doesn’t think this kid (16) would do anything to hurt my kids, 5 and 2. I don’t trust the kid when he’s angry, as he has a violent history. Can I get a restraining order to protect my kids?

Answer #1

Yes you can take out a restraining order. You would just have to explain that due to the teens violent past/history and perhaps he/she made threats?? You fear for your childrens safety.

I take it that your children are also your husbands and you’re worried about visitation. If I’m wrong then just ignore me. I don’t know what I would do in your case because I don’t think that you can get a restraining order unless the teen has hurt them already (or threatened to hurt them). Talk to a family court lawyer or to domestic relations to find out what you can legally do. But honestly as frustrating and scary as it is I don’t think that there is much you can do.

Good luck and take care

Answer #4

U SHOULD BECAUSE you NEVER KNOW WHAT HE COULD DO JUST KEEP YOUR KIDS SELF
