What's wrong with my puppy today?

well we’ve been traveling for a while. we brought our dog with us. we just came home last night. so yesterday while traveling in our car we gave him a lot of chicken and beef. soon after that he got gassy burping and farting (dont laugh about the farting to you immiture people lol)…so today he vomitted twice, has diahrrea and is emtremely lazy (which is NOT like hiself) and is very tired. He’s been sleeping alot. in fact he’s sleeping right now. I dont know what’s wrong with him. Does it have to do with traveling? or giving him all that chicken and beef?

Answer #1

probably giving all that chicken and beef, but ur puppy, how old is he? has he had all his vaccinations 8weeks, 12 weeks and at 16weeks? best take him to the vet as it could be serious.

Answer #2

he’s had his vaccinations and he’s not really a puppy i just call him that lol he’s a year old he’s about to throw up again now

Answer #3

You definitely need to bring him to the vets, and don’t feed him that stuff. He needs puppy chow, not greasy human food. No wonder he’s sick, honestly…

As everyone else stated, its most likely due to him eating all of the chicken and beef. Dogs aren’t really like us. When they have a drastic change in their diet, their GI tract often gets upset. Couple a diet change with the stress of traveling, its not a huge shock that he is a little lethargic. Just keep an eye on him, and make sure he drinks water to prevent dehydration. They can get dehydrated very quickly with diarrhea especially in the summer months. If he doesn’t get any better within 24 hours you should probably run him into an urgent care center. If you notice him gagging or dry heaving, or if his belly seems distended have him seen IMMEDIATELY. That could be a sign of bloat which is fatal if left untreated. I’m sure you already know this, but don’t leave him in the car. Today, we actually had a dog come in with heat stroke because he was left out. The docs were able to revive him, thank goodness, but we actually lost a boxer about a week ago due to the same thing. Actually, we didn’t lose him….He was DOA. :(
