When do puppies open their eyes & when should it become a concern?

I have a litter of 3 puppies, all seem normal, but they just turned 2 weeks old today and still have their eyes closed. From my past experience, all the other litters had their eyes open by 10-14 days. I am a little concern for them, but I am not sure if they are just taking a little longer. When should I be concerned for them?

Answer #1

They are probably just taking longer than the other dogs. I would wait a few more days and if they haven’t opened their eyes, take them to a vet for a check up.

Answer #2

Yeah, within a week they should start to open their eyes. If not, take them to the vet to make sure everything is okay.
