is it wrong to drop off our 2yr old son at grandmas while we go to the movies or chillies for drinks?

My mother in law said were bad parents & had the audacity to threaten to take our son away from us

Answer #1

It’s not wrong. As long as grandma doesn’t mind watching him and as long as she can see and hear and is able to watch him.

Answer #2

Parents need time to themselves once in awhile - it helps reduce the stress of raising children. It’s not wrong at all, and if your mother in law wants to try to take your son away for that, it will be quite the eye-opener for her.

Answer #3

Spending time with grandparents can enrich a childs life. Think back a few generations and households were multigeneration. Each generation brings different life experiences and lessons. Ignore your mother in law.
