Which workout system is better: p90x or Insanity?

I Want To Workout. Is It A Bad Idea If I Buy Both And Workout With Insanity In The Morning And With P90X At Night?

Answer #1

insanity all thee way! my mom staarted using it a couple weeks ago and shes already lost weight :)

Answer #2

I don’t have insanity but I will tell you this DO NOT buy both it WILL be overkill. Anyway P90X is fun and keeps you coming back. I can honestly say that EVERY workouts got me^ to sweat even the yoga and stretch routines. Also I wanna say I put on about 5-10 lbs of muscle and lost about 10-15 lbs of fat I only did about 3 weeks cause i couldn’t make time for school, baseball practice, and the workouts.

Answer #3

I bought Insanity & it;s great a lot of people borrow it from me to try it out and use it and they love it. It is def HARD. But I also know people who have bought P90X and love that. They are both very very similar to eachother. I would say either or would work very well to loose weight. Or even go onto Amazon and read the reviews of the people that will help greatly in deciding!!!!

Answer #4

I don’t know what Insanity is like, but I know P90X seems like a good work out. My brother did it over the summer, he lost weight and got more toned. I think he did his for the whole 90 days but I’m not sure. Though you can go more than 90 days

Answer #5

I agree with Victoria. Insanity is WAY more effective and faster than p90x.

Answer #6

Do you want to lose weight or bulk up? Insanity is a lot more cardio and will make you lose weight faster but p90x has more lifting to build more muscle mass. Insanity requires less equipment so it’s easier to get started. Insanity is known to be tougher to do than p90x but every Insanity workout focuses mostly on cardio with strength training thrown in and the opposite for p90x. If you’re a woman I would suggest Insanity.

I don’t mean to mislead you and say that p90x is only strength training and Insanity is only cardio and that you will only get stronger with one and lose weight with the other. Both workouts incorporate a lot of each and you’ll get incredible results in both areas using either one.

I’d take a look at the workouts and see if it’s something that you can do physically. If you are too overweight the plyometrics in Insanity will be very hard on your body so it would be better for your fitness and health to do p90x workouts.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Answer #7

Insanity, its harder and works in 60 days not 90, its more cardio so I feel like it sets me up better to be able to handle other things like running, swimming fast and long distances, and other things that dont take a ton of muscle but wear out your cardiovascular system. It made it easier for me to handle activities that help keep the weight off after the 60 days
